By mounting through the drain hole, the electrical cord is kept out of the water, and the de-icer cannot be thrown from the tank. Built-in thermostat and 6' power cord. fits all stock tanks that have 3/4" drain holes. Power plug is a reduced size and does not require the cord to separate to fit through the drain hole. 1500W, 120V.
